{"id":11234,"date":"2023-06-08T20:31:03","date_gmt":"2023-06-08T20:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/caltc.ca\/?p=11234"},"modified":"2023-07-24T17:23:13","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T17:23:13","slug":"health-human-resources-insight-retaining-our-long-term-care-workforce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caltc.ca\/fr\/2023\/06\/health-human-resources-insight-retaining-our-long-term-care-workforce\/","title":{"rendered":"Aper\u00e7u des Ressources Humaines en Sant\u00e9: Retenir notre personnel de soins de longue dur\u00e9e"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Comme nous l'avons \u00e9crit au cours des derni\u00e8res semaines, et ce n'est pas une surprise, la crise actuelle des ressources humaines dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9 a fait des ravages au sein de la main-d'\u0153uvre du secteur des soins de longue dur\u00e9e. Des ann\u00e9es de sous-financement et de ressources insuffisantes, combin\u00e9es aux d\u00e9fis uniques de la pand\u00e9mie, ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 les conditions id\u00e9ales pour l'\u00e9puisement du personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mentalhealthcommission.ca\/news-releases\/49456-situation-critical-distressed-health-care-workers-in-need-of-psychological-support\/\">Un rapport publi\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin de l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re<\/a> par la Commission de la sant\u00e9 mentale du Canada, en collaboration avec le Centre d'\u00e9tudes sur les soins primaires de l'universit\u00e9 Queen's et le Centre de gestion des soins d'HEC Montr\u00e9al, a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que 40 % des travailleurs de la sant\u00e9 font \u00e9tat d'un \u00e9puisement professionnel. Le rapport indique \u00e9galement que la moiti\u00e9 des personnes interrog\u00e9es souhaitent quitter leur profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si nous voulons nous attaquer s\u00e9rieusement \u00e0 la crise des RHS, la r\u00e9ponse la plus \u00e9vidente consiste \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux pr\u00e9occupations des travailleurs actuels. En tant que secteur, nous devons nous efforcer de cr\u00e9er une culture d'accueil et de soutien qui donne la priorit\u00e9 aux besoins de sant\u00e9 mentale de notre personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La CALTC a collabor\u00e9 avec la Commission de la sant\u00e9 mentale pour adapter son programme intitul\u00e9 le Programme de l'\u00e9sprit au travail sp\u00e9cifiquement pour les soins de longue dur\u00e9e afin de r\u00e9pondre aux besoins du personnel en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 mentale par le biais de modules de formation fond\u00e9s sur des donn\u00e9es probantes. La stigmatisation reste l'un des principaux obstacles qui emp\u00eachent les personnes de demander de l'aide; c'est pourquoi l'une des premi\u00e8res parties du programme porte sur la compr\u00e9hension du continuum de la sant\u00e9 mentale, sur la fa\u00e7on de d\u00e9passer la stigmatisation et d'avoir des conversations ouvertes et honn\u00eates sur la sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque les travailleurs peuvent parler franchement de leurs sentiments, nous pouvons commencer \u00e0 enseigner et \u00e0 mettre en place des strat\u00e9gies qui contribuent \u00e0 renforcer la r\u00e9silience face au stress, \u00e0 la n\u00e9gativit\u00e9 et aux situations difficiles. Nous sommes heureux que le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral ait reconnu la valeur de ce travail et ait accord\u00e9 \u00e0 CALTC une subvention pour faciliter cette importante initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien entendu, un seul programme ne r\u00e9soudra pas le probl\u00e8me de l'\u00e9puisement professionnel dans le secteur des soins de longue dur\u00e9e. Les gouvernements de toutes les all\u00e9geances politiques doivent continuer \u00e0 soutenir des programmes tels que le Programme \"l'\u00e9sprit au travail\". Outre l'\u00e9ducation, nous devons \u00e9galement renforcer le financement des travailleurs du secteur des soins de longue dur\u00e9e afin qu'ils puissent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier des conseils, des services cliniques et des autres formes de soutien dont ils ont besoin pour r\u00e9soudre leurs probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 physique et mentale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le soutien \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale est l'un des \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui permettent de cr\u00e9er des lieux de travail \u00e9panouissants dans l'ensemble du secteur des soins de longue dur\u00e9e. Nous savons \u00e9galement que lorsque le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel est une priorit\u00e9, les travailleurs se sentent plus satisfaits car ils continuent \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leurs comp\u00e9tences et leur talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est \u00e9galement essentiel de multiplier les possibilit\u00e9s de formation continue qui permettent au personnel non seulement de se d\u00e9velopper, mais aussi de tirer parti de ces exp\u00e9riences pour progresser dans leur domaine et obtenir une promotion. Il est important de r\u00e9compenser les personnes qui s'investissent dans les soins de longue dur\u00e9e et dans la profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les universit\u00e9s et les coll\u00e8ges cr\u00e9ent des espaces pour les programmes de soins infirmiers et d'aide \u00e0 la personne, il est possible de cr\u00e9er \u00e9galement ces programmes de formation continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque nous parlons de la crise des RHS, nous pensons trop souvent \u00e0 combler les postes vacants et \u00e0 attirer davantage de talents dans les domaines de la sant\u00e9. Bien que cela soit sans aucun doute important, une grande partie de la solution r\u00e9side dans la formation de l'excellente main-d'\u0153uvre d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sente dans le syst\u00e8me.
