The Canadian Association for Long-Term Care (CALTC) is launching a national survey to better understand the realities facing long-term care (LTC) home operators and experiences of associations across the country.
Your insights will directly inform national advocacy, policy recommendations, and the identification of practical solutions to strengthen the LTC sector.
LTC homes are navigating increasing complexity—from workforce shortages to funding pressures, IT developments and evolving policy expectations.
This survey will:

There are two survey options available:
1. Licensed long-term care home operators
-Surveys should be completed by senior leaders responsible for organizational operations
2. Provincial long term care associations
-Surveys should be completed by association leaders on sector priorities, government relations and advocacy

Because decisions are being made—with or without your input. This survey ensures that real experiences from long term care homes drives national advocacy and policy conversations.
Your responses will be combined with others and reported only in aggregated form (e.g., national averages or trends). Individual homes or organizations will not be identified.
While some general characteristics (e.g., size or region) are collected, CALTC will not publish any data that could identify a specific home or operator, particularly for smaller jurisdictions
Access is limited to authorized personnel designated by the CALTC Board of Directors. Aggregated findings may be shared with the Board and used for advocacy purposes.
Yes. A final report with a summary of findings will be shared with participants once analysis is complete.
No. If precise figures are not available, best estimates are welcome and valuable.
